The Nobel Prize of Phisycs

This they are the two galardonates of the Nobel
Prize of Phisics in 2007
Hello! Our next work is that first, we complete a table with the all Nobel Prizes between 1995 and 2011 and then we have to choose one Nobel Prize, the person and the category,I choose the one that he discovered the magnetoresistance and his name is Albert Fert.

Albert (Bert) Fert (born 7 March 1938 in Carcassonne, Aude) is a French physicist and one of the discoverers of giant magnetoresistance which brought about a breakthrough in gigabyte hard disks.

He got a lot of award like:
American Physical Society International Prize for New Materials (1994)
Grand prix de physique Jean Ricard of the French Physical Society (1994)
International Union of Pure and Applied Physics Magnetism Award (1994)
Hewlett-Packard Europhysics Prize (1997)
Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique Gold Medal (2003) Wolf Prize in Physics (2006)
Japan Prize (2007)
Elected to the French Academy of Sciences in 2004 Nobel Prize in Physics (2007)

Fert graduated in 1962 in the University of Paris and he received his master's degree in 1963.
In 1988 Fert discovered the Giant magnetoresistance effect (GMR) in multilayers of iron and chromium which is recognized as the birth of spintronics. But he wans't the real discoverer of the GMR, it was simultaneously and independently discovered by Peter Grünberg.

But he award he reward the discover of the magnetoresistance were the Wolf Prize in Physics  in 2006 the  Japan Prize in 2007 and the most important one the Nobel Prize in Physics  in 2007 . Now, he is currently working as a emeritus professor in a important University.

I like this person because the magnetoresistance is a curious thing, so I think to write about him. I'm not sure what the magnetoresistance but in my opinion, is the resistance of the magnesium. I think that also that this discovery is very difficult to get because is a very difficult word to say and it is a peculiar thing that few people know.

  1. Ander, I recommend you should visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetoresistance to see what magnetoresistance is. It's not serious to write opinions about topics which we haven't even tried to understand. Saying that a discovery like this should be difficult just because the word was difficult is not expected from a dbh4 student. Try harder next!!!!!

  2. There's a paragraph which is incomprehensible.
